case studies

The trainee and apprentice case studies highlight the vital role of the charitable advice sector in expanding access to legal careers and strengthening social justice work. They underscore the need to raise awareness of the sector’s mission, training pathways, and career opportunities. They also promote free training in advice related topics and inform students and graduates about alternative qualification routes outside private and public sector law.

The case studies further emphasise the importance of securing funding through the apprenticeship levy, promoting the sector’s community focused values, and improving working conditions, including flexibility, work-life balance, and pay. Additionally, they advocate for stronger partnerships with law schools, like BPP, to develop social welfare modules and encourage collaboration across different advice agencies, particularly specialist legal advice and generalist community advice agencies.

We invite you to take time to learn about the projects through their case studies.
